Internship- project management

Monday the 16th January 2012, was the day we started our 4th semester internship. The day started with an introduction of the rules to be followed and guide lines.

I had already talked to Danish know how about the project of spreading their know how to Uganda, Rwanda and Southern Sudan, and they were very happy to let me do the implementations. I also urged the school to let me use this project for my internship of which they had no objection.

Danish Know How- who are they?
A privately owned company which offers training and consulting for commercial farmers, agribusiness development and entrepreneurship. It also offers short and intense programs that focus on demonstrating the latest knowledge and state-of-the-art technologies within the field. All with focus on sustainability and profitability.

danishknowhow® Vision
”Danish level world-wide” danishknowhow® wants to help farms world-wide to reach the Danish level of agricultural production. We shall assist agricultural companies to improve and at final reach the Danish level within the areas of:
  • Productivity
  • Quality
  • Sustainability
For persons seeking agricultural know-how, danishknowhow® should be recognized as the leading, best and most professional provider of know-how for agriculture.

danishknowhow®  Mission
”getting farming further”
Motivation, skills and level of knowledge of the organization is the critical factors in today’s companies. Denmark has a leading position in various areas – among them is agriculture.
The know-how in Danish agriculture is attractive for farmers abroad - but is hard to obtain as it is in the brains and hands of the Danish farmers. danishknowhow® wants to take this knowledge and make it available and usable for farms world-wide. This as a benefit to the receiver who will improve his production – and to the supplier in Denmark who will internationalize his company or farm.

Danish Know How in East Africa.
Danish know how is just new and trying to penetrate the East African market of farming and agriculture. East Africa is still a virgin area of the continent which is still underdeveloped in terms of farming and agriculture but yet has very fertile soils that are inadequately used.
